Objectives: Practicum
Each participant will complete four miniprojects using four different applications: Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and Internet Explorer. The specific things you should know how to do are listed below, along with their page in the guide.
- Word (Pages 6,7, 8, 9,)
- Be able to open a Word file and save it with a new name to a given location.
- Be able to change the font type, style, size, color, and justification of selected text.
- Be able to create “white space” in a document using the enter key.
- Be able to insert a graphic in clip art and center it.
- Be able to resize a graphic to a given size.
- Be able to insert a box from the auto shape menu, color the lines of the box, and send it behind some text. Also be able to adjust the size of the lines around the box.
- Be able to place a patterned border around a page.
- Be able to print the page.
- PowerPoint (Pages 11-12)
- Be able to start a blank presentation.
- Be able to save the presentation in a given location with a given name.
- Be able to supply a given slide design.
