| They peeked out of the shed to make sure nobody was watching. They heard the lawnmower coming closer, so Rosario grabbed the ring of keys, shoved them in his pocket, and ran to be with his class just as they were lining up for the Wild Wonder Show. | ||||||

| As everyone headed inside to the auditorium, Meagan and Morgan held the doors while Rosario slipped outside so he could give the signal when the coast was clear. He peeked around the corner. No one was there. He waved to Megan and Morgan who had just closed the auditorium doors. They quietly opened the outside doors and joined Rosario in the back of the school. | ||||||

| “Do you have the key?” whispered Megan. “This one says ‘WB’ just like the lock on the basement door,” Rosario said excitedly as he cleaned off the key with his shirt. He held the key up to Megan and Morgan so they could see the ‘WB’ that matched the lock. “Let’s try it and see if it works!” | ||||||

| The children were stunned. These were not the monsters they expected to see. They were expecting to see something huge, vicious, hairy, and drooling with glowing eyes...something creepy. But they all agreed that these little creatures were monsters just the same.
They returned the keys and slipped into the Wild Wonders show just as it was ending and the birds were flying over head. |
